Steven C. Elkin, a partner in the firm, provides legal counsel for entrepreneurs and growing businesses in many facets of their operations, including business, corporate, real estate, finance and estate planning. He has extensive experience in real estate and asset-based lending, representing both borrowers and lenders, including traditional financial institutions, hard money lenders, and individual lenders. Mr. Elkin is known for his ability to offer practical solutions to difficult problems and to get deals closed.
Mr. Elkin is an agent of Chicago Title Insurance Company, Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company, Fidelity National Title Insurance Company, Lawyers Title, and Old Republic National Title Insurance Company. Mr. Elkin graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Finance with high honors from the College of Business Administration at the University of Florida in 1984. He graduated with his Juris Doctor degree with honors from the University of Florida College of Law in 1987. Mr. Elkin is also an AV-rated attorney, the highest rating issued by Martindale-Hubbell, which rates attorneys based upon their professional ability and ethical standards.
Mr. Elkin’s community and professional involvement has been extensive, including leadership positions and membership on the boards of Communities in Schools of Broward County, Inc., Leadership Broward Foundation, Inc., South Florida Manufacturing Technology Center, and two homeowners associations. Mr. Elkin is a graduate of the Leadership Broward program. Mr. Elkin enjoys exercising, traveling, personal challenges, and spending time with his wife and two children.
